What the hell is THAT?!

Sitting on my patio the other night, I noticed this lone flower budding in the hill side that separates the two flat portions of the yard. It was all by itself and rather striking looking as you can see.

If someone out that can identify this flower… there might just be a prize in it for you.

A long time ago I recall watching an episode of Top Chef which featured a cut if meat I had never seen before. Huge would do it justice. But there was more to it than just size. There was something special… there was – a handle!

The result? Well, you just read it. I still have to dig around but so far so good.

I like big butts and I cannot lie…

Getting up every day at 5:45am for work can be tough. However, I just discovered that waking up at 3 in the morning to put a pork shoulder on my WSM isn’t so bad.

I know what love is…

Walking a long windy country road with my wife afforded me the opportunity to realize I know what love is.

As we strolled along — a soft lavender butterfly flitted by. We walked more — and it became apparent that this little guy wasn’t going anymore. He (and I am making some huge assumptions here) appeared content to circle Nicole as we continued to follow the gravel path unwinding before us.

My first Weber Smokey Mountian session (part 2)

As we saw in Part One… so far the first Weber Smokey Mountain smoke has been pretty uneventful.

My first Weber Smokey Mountian session (part 1)

Things started out easy enough. Simple three page newspaper roll into the bottom of the chimney. Lit well and took a good 20 minutes to ash over. It seemed like a long time but it did give me the chance to take care of some other things. I honestly believe that this early in the process – Nicole had her doubts. I imagine she suspected the very real possibility of having to save dinner by whiping out a quick dinner after I mess this up and the chicken is ruined. Not that I blame her. Sometimes, trying new things doesn’t always turn out exactly how I plan it. But not this day… this day would be different.

So last week my phone took a massive dump on me. It stopped responding all together and spent most of the weekend as nothin more than a paperweight in my pocket. Come Monday, i decide to head over to the Sprint store convinced I’d have to shell out dough.

I’m going to try to see if I can file my local tazes online through the worse interface i’ve seen in a while. it reeks of developer. no design at all.
pity though… it could be really engaging.

The winds of change blow the clouds across the sky.

A new change in direction perhaps. Is the wind blowing? I think so.
